Kung Fu Mahjong. =)

This is one cool movie that I watched recently. Go watch it too hehehe LOL.

Kung Fu Mahjong is a 2005 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Wong Jing and Billy Chung. It is about an obsessive gambler Chi Mo Sai (Yuen Wah) and Auntie Fei (Yuen Qiu). It falls into the Hong Kong cinema genre of Mahjong films. The film was followed by two sequels, Kung Fu Mahjong 2 which was released the same year as the first film, and Kung Fu Mahjong 3: The Final Duel, which was released in 2007.

Battle: Los Angeles (also known as Battle: LA and World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles, and formerly known as Battle for Los Angeles) is a 2011 action science fiction film directed by Jonathan Liebesman, and starring Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Peña, Ne-Yo, and Bridget Moynahan. Released in March 2011, the film is set in modern day Los Angeles and follows a platoon of U.S. Marines during a global alien invasion. The events of the film are inspired by the Battle of Los Angeles, a supposed World War II air raid of the city which turned out to be a false alarm caused by several unidentified objects.

I would say the film is pretty good - but do note the film is pretty packed with shooting scenes with some slightly shaky shots. =P

Beastly - Movie Review.

Thanks to Hahah and Blup Blup, I got to watch Beastly - right before everyone get to watch it tomorrow. LOL. =) Yup... the girl you see in the next picture.... thats Vanessa Hudgens!!! =)

Beastly is an upcoming 2011 fantasy romance film based on Alex Flinn's 2007 novel of the same name. The film is written and directed by Daniel Barnz and stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, Mary Kate Olsen, Neil Patrick Harris and Lisa Gay Hamilton.

In this modern "Beauty And The Beast" reupdate, Kyle Kingston (Alex Pettyfer) has all the looks, intelligence and wealth but he he has a cruel streak. Prone to mocking "aggressively unattractive" classmates, he zeroes in on Goth classmate Kendra Hilferty (Mary Kate Olsen), inviting her to the school's environmental bash. Kendra accepts, and, true to form, Kyle blows her off in savage fashion.

She casts a spell that transforms him into everything he despises... look at picture above. Now horrible-looking, he learns that the only solution to the curse is to find someone that will love him as he is. Repulsed by his appearance, Kyle's father (Peter Krause) banishes him to Brooklyn with a sympathetic housekeeper (Lisa Gay Hamilton) and blind tutor (Neil Patrick Harris).... what else happened? Go watch the movie lorrr....

Kyle Kingston - in his new look and name 'Hunter' - somewhat reminds me of the Lex Luthor in Smallville played by Michael Rosenbaum. LOL. =)

Go watch it... Neil Patrick Harris.... he's just so legen..... wait for it.... dary!!! =)

Anyways, its a good movie. Go watch it. =)

天天好天 Great Day - Movie Review.

I just finished watching this movie called 天天好天 Great Day - a local production, featuring and starring the same guys from last year's movie - Big Day Woohoo. =) It is not a very long movie, just about 90 minutes long, but it does bring out a lot of good meaning and a very simple storyline too.

The Great Day movie - go watch it now. =)

It stars the famous Jack Lim - who does a pretty good performance on his part. One thing that I felt I didnt quite like was... why is his voice like that wan??? The whole storyline anyways focuses a lot about family relationships, and one thing that I managed to translate towards the end was.... you do not need to wait til Chinese New Year to go visit and see your loved ones and family. Anytime is a good time. =)

The movie is about this elderly guy - who suspects he's got some kinda fatal disease, and sneaks out of the Old Folks' Home to visit his son and daughter - whom he had thought were doing damn well. Turns out they had painted a different picture to him - and he gets disappointed. But then he slowly manages to impress his granddaughter, whom runs away from him to go find him at the Old Folks' Home.

A pretty good movie.

The elderly man's family were in Kuala Lumpur, whilst the Old Folks' Home was in Perlis. Quite a far distance actually. Anyways... what else to take from the movie? I think they need to take note on the 'motorcycle scenes' a bit more next time. Its like damn funny to see Royce Tan riding his scooter - going on Jalan Ampang and then Jalan Tun Razak (cos can see GTower behind) over and over again... LOL.

Anyways, it is a pretty touching movie. Go watch it and tell me what you think.
